Song Structure: Where Every Section Begins
A song structure is usually written as a shape: verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus. That shape is useful to a songwriter and almost useless to anyone editing, mixing or cutting the record, because it says nothing about when any of it happens.
LangBeat detects the sections from the audio and publishes them with timestamps. Every boundary on a track page is a second on the clock, taken from the recording itself.
Beats, bars and sections are three different things
A beat tracker finds the pulse. Downbeat detection groups those beats into bars, which is what makes a bar count possible at all. A separate structure model then labels the spans between boundaries as intro, verse, chorus, bridge or outro, and each boundary carries its own confidence.
Those three layers are independent, which matters when they disagree. A record with a clear pulse can still have an ambiguous section map, and LangBeat renders that ambiguity as a softer boundary rather than hiding it behind a hard line.
What a timestamped structure is for
For a DJ it is where the mix-in and mix-out points are: the intro length and the position of the first chorus decide how long a blend can run. For an editor cutting video to music, the section boundaries are the natural cut points and the bar grid between them is the rhythm of the edit. For anyone learning a record, it is the fastest way to find the part you want to hear again.
The bar count is not a duration
Bars are counted from the detected beat grid and the detected downbeat spacing, so a track in 3/4 or 6/8 counts differently from one in 4/4 of the same length. That is the point: a 103-bar record and a 103-second record have nothing to do with each other, and only the first tells you anything about how the song is built.
Structures detected from the audio
Section counts and boundary times below were detected per record. The first few boundaries are shown; the full timeline is on each track page.

Questions
How does LangBeat detect song sections?
A structure model analyses the audio and marks boundaries between repeated and contrasting material, labelling the spans as intro, verse, chorus, bridge or outro. Each boundary carries a confidence value, which is shown as a softer transition when it is low.
Are the timestamps exact?
They are measured to a tenth of a second from the recording. They are detections rather than the artist's own arrangement notes, so a boundary can sit a beat either side of where a musician would place it.
What is the difference between bars and beats?
Beats are the pulse you tap along to. Bars are groups of beats defined by where the downbeats fall, usually four, but detected per track rather than assumed.
Can I see the structure of any song?
You can see it for any track that has been analysed and published on LangBeat. Unlisted tracks stay out of search and are reachable only by their own link.
