Privacy Policy

LangBeat is a music creation and listening app. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It applies to the LangBeat iOS app and to langbeat.live.
What we collect
- Account information — your email address, which we use to create and authenticate your account.
- Profile information — your display name, username, biography and any avatar or cover image you upload.
- Audio you upload — the tracks you import, plus material derived from them such as separated stems, waveforms, tempo and key analysis.
- Images you choose — photos you pick for a profile picture or cover art. LangBeat does not access your photo library; you choose individual images through the system picker and only those are sent to us.
- Listening activity — which tracks you play and for how long. This drives your library, recommendations, trending, and the activity your followers can see.
- Diagnostics — crash reports, hangs, and performance data, so we can fix faults. Access tokens and signed URLs are removed before a report leaves your device.
What we do not do
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not show third-party advertising, and we do not sell your personal information. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs and does not ask for the App Tracking Transparency permission because it has nothing to track you with.
LangBeat does not access your microphone or camera. The app's “record” feature captures LangBeat's own audio output — the mix you have made — and never the room around you.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the product: Supabase (database, storage and authentication), Vercel (web hosting and API), and Modal (audio processing). They process data on our instructions in order to provide the service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Content you make public
Tracks, profiles and playlists you share are reachable by anyone holding the link, and public tracks and artist pages may be indexed by search engines. Treat a share link as public. You can stop sharing a track from the app, which prevents new links being created for it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and its data from inside the app, under Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, uploaded tracks, playlists, share links and listening history. It cannot be undone. If you would rather we did it for you, email support@langbeat.live.
Retention
We keep your content while your account exists. Diagnostic reports are kept for up to 90 days. Deleting your account removes your data from our live systems; backups age out on their own schedule.
Children
LangBeat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal information, and to object to some processing. Email support@langbeat.live and we will respond.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
